This Saturday (Oct.22) from 11-2 the MI State Police will be collecting bags of food at Pat's IGA for their annual Harvest Gathering. Pat's has agreed to have ready filled bags worth $10 which can be purchased by the public for $5; the purchased bags will then be given to the State Police who will put them into their cruisers, and will deliver them to our food pantry on Saturday around 2pm. A call was made to us regarding this program which is being conducted throughout MI; this is the first time it's being done in Baraga County!! Joe, the manager at Pat's was happy to receive a "wish list" from us of items we can REALLY use in the pantry and believes the bags will contain these items. (All of the bags will be identical).

If you can encourage friends, neighbors anyone who can spare the money and is willing to help the pantry to purchase at least one bag on Saturday, we can truly "Stuff the Blue Goose" (cruisers).
